General

What is Vertex Funded?+
Vertex Funded is a proprietary trading firm. We give talented traders access to capital ($5K–$200K) in exchange for a share of their profits. You pay a one-time fee to prove your skill — we handle the rest.
Is my money at risk?+
No. You pay a one-time challenge fee — that's the maximum you can lose. You trade a demo account using rules we set. When you pass, we allocate real capital for live execution. You never deposit trading capital.
Where are you based?+
Vertex Funded is registered in Dubai, UAE under IFZA Free Zone license. Our operations team is based in Dubai, with hubs in Tashkent (CIS ops) and remote engineering worldwide.
Who can sign up?+
Anyone 18+ outside of restricted jurisdictions. We currently do not accept traders from: United States, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Crimea region. All other countries welcome.
How is this different from FTMO or FundingPips?+
Three things: (1) Our rulebook is one page, not 14. (2) Payouts settle on-chain with public TxHashes — no Photoshop required. (3) We accept local payment methods (Click, Payme, Humo, PayTR) that most firms ignore. Full comparison on our landing page.

Challenges & Funding

Which challenge should I pick?+
Most traders start with a 2-Step $100K ($499) — it's the classic balance between price, account size, and proof-of-skill. If you already have a consistent edge, try the 1-Step. If you want to skip evaluation entirely, Instant Funded. Start small ($5K–$25K) if you're new to prop.
How long does the challenge take?+
There's no deadline. You need a minimum of 3 trading days per phase. Traders typically pass Phase 1 in 7–21 days and Phase 2 in 5–10 days. Go at your own pace.
What if I fail the challenge?+
No penalty. You can re-attempt with a 30% discount using code RETRY30. Most successful Vertex traders passed on their second or third attempt.
Can I get a refund?+
We refund the full challenge fee with your first payout. So functionally, your evaluation was free if you pass. If you don't pass, the fee is non-refundable — this is how we pay for risk management, tech, and operations.
How does scaling work?+
After 4 consecutive months of ≥10% profit on a funded account, we increase the account size by 50%. You can scale up to $2M. Top performers enter the Hot Seat program with 90% profit split.

Trading Rules

What is the maximum drawdown?+
10% of your initial account balance, measured statically. For a $100K account, you cannot go below $90,000 at any point. This rule applies across evaluation and funded stages. We do not use trailing drawdown.
What is daily drawdown?+
5% of your end-of-day balance. Resets at 00:00 UTC daily. For a $100K account, if you end yesterday at $103K, you cannot drop below $97,850 today.
Are EAs allowed?+
Yes, Expert Advisors are allowed on all accounts. You must own or have licensed the EA — no copy-trading from public signal providers or other Vertex accounts.
Can I hold positions overnight / over weekends?+
Yes, on 2-Step, 1-Step, and Funded accounts. Instant Funded does not allow weekend holds to manage gap risk. News trading is allowed across all challenge types (blackout on high-impact events for funded stage only).
What strategies are prohibited?+
Latency arbitrage, high-frequency scalping under 5 seconds, Martingale, grid, cross-account hedging, copy trading from third parties, and tick-scalping exploits. Full list on our challenges page.
